Monday, Monday

Today marks day 1 of sharing my day-to-day attire with you. I want to share my opinions, tastes, & personal preferences on fashion by providing examples of my actual daily, personal style. What is my thought process behind building an outfit? You'll find I put a lot of time & effort into what I wear each day. Those who care about their appearance get dressed every morning with similar thoughts, struggles, & choices before stepping out the door... here are mine. I hope you enjoy stepping into the madness of my daily mind & perhaps even pick up a useful tip or two along the way! Breakdown:
  • Black & white striped jacket
  • White racer-back, worn over a black tank top
  • Black leggings
  • Black wedge boots
My work's dress code is: black, white & gray. Luckily, black, white & gray can be paired together in any combination famously with usually very little error. My daily problem is shared with most women: jeans vs pants? Leggings vs a skirt or dress? & then what top, blouse, button up, tank top, sweater etc. & shoes to pair with them?? The choices are endless. I usually will pick 1 piece & work from there. Today I started with the jacket. I used the color palette: black & white, & then worked my way down. The racer-back was too sheer to wear alone, solution: tank-top worn underneath. I chose black, to offset the white & match the jacket. The leggings: black, always a favorite choice of mine; they're easy, comfortable & chic! I easily could have paired some flats, sandals or pumps with the ensemble but I went with the boots: black, of course. I always enjoy a heel. The lift transforms your legs, making them appear longer (which is important when wearing leggings, they tend to hack off at your calf) & the streamlined black from the leggings into the boot makes for a bold & polished finish. A few stretch bracelets, a long black beaded necklace & chandelier earrings finished the look. Yes, even my jewelry is given careful extra thought as well!
