The BIG, Exciting Announcement is…
I’ve decided that I want to follow a long-time dream of mine and design my own line of shoes!
Why? Fashion has been my #1 passion my entire life. I’m obsessed with every fiber of the industry but when it comes to a specific piece: shoes are my “perfect”. Shoes may merely have been intended for our feet but they are my interpretation of art; and are the only tangible piece of fashion that I have ever had a strong urge, desire or longing to “do better”.
“These would be AMAZING, if only they…” “I wish these heels were higher!” “Those would be fabulous, IF…”
These are my usual half-hearted thoughts, even when perusing the most illustrious shoe stores. So I want to create my own version of the perfect shoe… and, in full disclosure…
I have no idea how to do it.
There is no complete handbook on shoe design/manufacturing, I am not a celebrity (of any kind) with a name large enough to be handed a shoe line and no, I do not come from a family of cobblers but I’m determined to pave my own way. I will absolutely need all of the help I can get; I'm sure I will make mistakes; I'm bound to learn a TON and I couldn't be more fascinated, scared or excited about all of it! In order to hold myself accountable, I decided to make a public declaration, rather than keep it a secret back-room hobby. I want to document this journey and hopefully help/inspire others to follow their dreams too!
I don’t know how long this process will take but I’m not ready to sit back and wait for my dreams to begin. The time is NOW!
