I don't know where you live, but where I live "Spring Training" is a big deal on the social calendar! Every year, during the month of March, spring training baseball games are played (every day) across the valley; bringing together baseball fans, families & those who like to be seen (or just to drink cold beer in the warm sun).
A little history: Spring training baseball in Arizona has been a tradition for devoted fans since 1947, when just two teams: the Cleveland Indians and the New York Giants, came here to prepare for the rigors of the long regular season. Today, 15 teams train in the Phoenix metropolitan area in the greatest concentration of professional baseball facilities found anywhere in the United States.
So what do you wear? It's March in Arizona & the weather can be unpredictable. It's either going to be extremely chilly or brutally HOT. Either way - layers are your best friend! Bring a lightweight shrug, cardigan or scarf to keep the chill off your neck and shoulders in the AM or early evening & fold it into your bag during the warm afternoon. Convenience, accessibility & comfort are the way to go! Now, I know you want to look fabulous (there will be a lot of eyes on you) but I want you to look chic & comfortable too! With that being said: Ladies, please leave the heels at home. You're at a baseball game & there are bleachers! Metallic sandals or jeweled flats are more than appropriate, are fashionable & will keep you from crowd diving into the field because you slipped on spilled beer. Not cute. Don't settle for Lululemon when you seek chic/comfort either. Yes, Lulu is great for yoga or even running errands after a gym session but when it comes to being seen - please seek actual clothes. There are other options out there! For instance: I found a plethora of super cute/chic/comfortable choices at Active Body! From colored denim to jersey maxi dresses your search for fabulous spring training ensembles should start and end at Active Body!
