Traversing the Iron Veins

An out-of-the-blue/last minute styling opportunity was thrown together yesterday and this is what we came up with... In full disclosure, the wardrobe styling for this shoot was as easy as it gets: the model brought a duffel bag of his own clothes and I styled him from there...
"Wear this, with this!"... "Those jeans, these shoes & here, wear my scarf!"... "What size shoe do you wear? Mine might fit. Let's trade!"...
Although I didn't personally select the wardrobe, I did select the location and thankfully, I knew exactly what Nick was bringing (wardrobe wise) before deciding on the perfect spot. I've wanted to shoot on this bridge for a long while now and I love how Nick's broken-in/oversized clothes mesh with the worn railroad tracks and bridgework. In retrospect however, there are a few things (styling details) I wish I would've/could've corrected, pinned & lint-rolled had we had more time... we were in fact, shooting/trespassing on live working watch for trains railroad tracks, constantly jumping every time we heard "something coming"... but c'est la vie! Ultimately everything really came together {no models were harmed} and I'm really happy with how the images turned out!
The black + white are especially striking {IMO} but I'm naturally drawn to B/W imagery.
In all seriousness, when you combine such a talented model + such an amazing photographer + such a striking location + such perfect weather +++ yours truly... magic is inevitable! ;) Model: Nick Koester Photographer: Dan Tabár Wardrobe Styling, Photo Editing & Creative Direction: Tiffany {Tank} Tabár
